Description
A 21-foot-tall, 6 1/2-ton Coast Guard navigation buoy washed ashore the morning after Christmas in New Smyrna Beach, nearly 200 miles away from its mooring at the entrance to Port Royal Sound north of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. It had been missing at sea since it broke free during Hurricane Dorian in August 2019
